The Cats out of the Bag

Well, we had hoped to keep this a secret a little longer, but Mark was a little excited and told some people at a wedding we were at this weekend.  We are pregnant!

I have lots of thoughts and feelings about this pregnancy.  We know for certian that we had a miscarriage about 6 or 7 months ago and we think we might have had one about two months ago.  I am definitely excited about being pregnant but there are so many questions.  So I guess mainly, we just ask for everyone to be praying for the pregnancy, I am only about 5 weeks along.  We have learned that pregnancy does not mean that there will be a baby in nine months.  The Lord will determine that.  I feel very at peace with this pregnancy so we will see what the Lord gives us.

This may seem funny but we (maybe more Mark than I) are thankful for the symptoms of pregnancy I have experienced so far.  I am very tired and even babysitting, I have fallen asleep while the kids are talking to me.  I find myself frequently using the bathroom and I have had a little bit of nausea a couple of mornings.  So we hope for these symptoms to continue!

So many people ask us what about West Africa?  Yes, if the pregnancy continues we won’t be able to go to West Africa as soon as we had hoped.  We have heard mixed things about when we would able to go to training.  Our consultant told us the baby must be 6 weeks old to go to training but we have had friends who had to wait much longer than that.  We are holding everything with open hands.

Well I hope to be posting more since life has slowed down a little!
