Mark and I were married on December 15, 2007 after meeting in college and dating for a year. Prior to dating, I thought Mark was the last guy I would date but the Lord had other plans. We “fell in love” on a road trip to Oklahoma. Mark says that my acceptance of him passing gas was what brought us together. When I said “just roll the window down”, he knew I was the girl for him!
Really there are deeper things that unite us and make us love each other. We both love Jesus and have been saved by His grace. We desire to share Jesus with people from all over the world and make His name famous wherever He calls us. We both love kids and hope to have a lot of kiddos. So those are some of the things that bring us together as one.
We have one beautiful little girl who was born in May of 2009. She makes many appearances on this blog because she is the cutest subject I know. Parenting is growing us both and we consider it a blessing to be parents. Before Liza, we had two miscarriages so we have experienced some of the pain of miscarriages but also the goodness of God in those situations.
Mark works for our church and I stay at home and raise our daughter. Mark enjoys golf, football, fishing and hunting – anything that is manly (before we dated I called him Manly Mark). I enjoy scrapbooking, crafts, decorating, daydreaming and photography. I would consider myself and aspiring photographer; I have a lot to learn!
